Every Day Super Heros!!

So it's hard to believe that Calley is here already... and actually 2 weeks old and wasn't due until yesterday!!! We now know what it means to be truly blessed... We thought having each other and a great relationship as husband and wife, best friend and soul mate was wonderful.. but having Calley in our lives takes the cake! We could not be happier with our new baby girl.
I have also come to believe in "Super Hero's", not the ones on TV or in Comic books, or in Movies...no I'm talking about "MOMS"!!! Wow, I've always been one that needs a full 8 hours to truly function for the day and maybe even a nap before supper... it's amazing how the minute she came into this world I could hear, see and smell her every move...and probably only got a total of 8 hours of sleep while staying in the hospital for 4 days... and still manage to complete full sentences and stay awake for the guest coming to visit. Now that we are home... my belief has become stronger.. I do try and sleep while she is sleeping, but also realise that, that is the only time that things can get done around the house!!! So therefore I have be come VERY thankful if I get to sleep a total of 3 hours at a time... (*we celebrate those moments) As for Dad he is a super hero in his own, he took the challenge of changing diapers while we were in the hospital and has carried the task home with him... he calms her with his deep voice and also has learned to function on just a few hours of sleep... needless to say, I don't think you realise the strength you have until you go through that little thing called "Labor and Delivery" so to all the Moms out there... Can you say "BABY TIME!!!"

OMG, I can not believe that it is almost time!!! almost time!!! almost time!!! We are OFFICALLY in April! Her room is set to perfection, our bag is packed, the car seat is already in the car... now we just wait... just about a week ago I started my nervous thoughts and every morning on my way to work thinking "what is my escape route if she comes today? will it happen while I'm on a conference call? will it happen while I'm helping out a customer?...then at night the same thoughts..what if I get all the way home and it happens while suppers on the stove? did I remember to put gas in the car? will I remember my toothbrush if she comes at 4am?..so needless to say with all these crazy thoughts, I have not been sleeping well... I have to make myself a LOT of list while at work to remember the littlest things, I am so overly excited I can't stand it! It really is crazy to think that any minute she could arrive.
We did our hospital tour today and got to see where we go and what exactly to do when she does come, I think that eased both our minds, more Jeremy's then mine... While there we got to see a baby in the nursery that was only an hour old... she had a FULL head of dark brown hair, it made me cry... I have a feeling if our little one is anything like me she'll have a head full also... I know I say this every blog, but we are so excited and I am sorry for not writing sooner, but things have been just a little crazy, We will post something when she does arrive, but until then (*or if I'm a week late and bored) we will talk soon.

WOW! Time is flying by!!!

Oh My how time is flying by. I was just looking at the calendar and I go in for my 28 week check up this Thursday...That means we only have 12 more weeks until our little princess is here!!! There is a lot going on between now and then, we are moving this weekend... then my baby shower is about 3 weeks and then it will be time to get everything ready for our new little one!!! As I start my 3rd trimester, things are becoming more real everyday, not only for me but for Jeremy as well. He said he rolled over in the middle of the night and put his arm around me and could feel her moving and kicking!! I do have to say she is a wiggle worm, kind of like her momma, always on the go! We can't wait to meet her, and I know our family is excited as well. I hope you all have a great week and we'll talk soon. Love the Ray's

Happy New Year!

WOW! I can't believe it's already 2011!! I think 2010 went by WAY too fast!! Well we had a great holiday season at work and with family! We spent Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years all in Wimberley. Great time with family and friends... We have a busy next few months ahead of us... we will be moving at the end of this month to Wimberley!!! YEAH, we are so excited. And then in March I will start at my new job location, and THEN in April we will be PARENTS!!! Oh My Gosh, I can't believe i only have 15 more weeks and then our little lady will be arriving!!! I can't wait to meet her. I thought long and hard about this but my new years goal is to be more calm... I tend to work myself up over little things, and I want to remain calm this year! 24 weeks!

It's a GiRl!!!!!

Well about 2 weeks ago we went to the doctor in hope's to find out what the sex of our baby was going to be. Well the little one didn't really want to play that day... and the doctor was not able to give us a 100 percent guarantee of the gender... So off I went today in hope's that this little baby would participate in the appointment... and sure enough!!! IT'S A GIRL!!!! We are soo very excited... The doctor says she has a strong heart beat and looks health! Now off to go shopping for everything girlie I go... love you all and hope you have a happy and merry christmas! - Chelsea

5 More Weeks!!!

I had my 14 week check-up last week, and everything went great. The doctor said we have a very active baby!! She said that it was just moving all over! (*I won't be able to actually feel the baby move for another couple of weeks) We also set up our appointment to find out the sex of the baby!!! We find out on December 3rd, We are so excited to find out!!! And yes I have taken the whole day off so after the appointment I can go shopping for the new baby!!! ha ha ha... Jeremy will love that! We wish everyone a happy and safe halloween, and if we don't talk to you before Turkey day...happy Thanksgiving as well...We know we have LOTS to be thankful for! LOVE Chelsea and Jeremy!

My First Blog!!

This is my first blog, so it only seems right that I should introduce my self. I am Chelsea Ray, wife to Jeremy Ray. We are currently in the great city of Austin. (*we love it here) If you have never been it's a blast.. great food, good history, and tons to do! We are also currently in the house hunting process, the reason being... I'M PREGNANT!!!! Yes I'm happy to say in April 2011 I will become a Mom! We are so excited we can't stand it! We are going to go the modern route and find out what the sex is, but we won't know until after Thanksgiving. So it will be a nice Christmas surprise to all the family. Speaking of family, we have family all over the state/ country. We love them all dearly and can say are close with most all of them. I work in the retail world as a General Manager. I love my job, and the excitement it brings everyday. I'm hoping that this blogging will keep all of my family and friends updated on the events that go on in our busy lives, since we are all so far away I do try and keep in touch as best possible!
